Antonetta Stancu for District Attorney

Antonetta Stancu is a proud first-generation American, raised by parents who wanted to ensure their children lived the American Dream.  

Antonetta’s father grew up in a Romanian community within communist former Yugoslavia. Years later, he immigrated to America and met Antonetta’s mother, also an immigrant from the former Yugoslavia.    

Armed without even a high school degree, Antonetta’s parents worked hard – her mother a hairstylist and her father a building contractor – raising their two daughters in Lower Bucks County and Montgomery County. When Antonetta began kindergarten, she could only speak Romanian – the only language spoken at home. 

Antonetta excelled in academics at Lower Moreland High School and served as President of her senior class. She earned a BA from Lehigh University and later graduated from Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Dean School of Law. While at Hofstra, Antonetta was admitted to the school’s summer program where she studied Comparative Constitutional Law under the direction of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. 

Antonetta would go on to have a decorated career as a criminal attorney leading to formal recognition from Presidential administrations of both parties, including President Barack Obama’s Department of Justice.

An avid cyclist, Antonetta lives in Doylestown with her husband and two children. She runs her own private law practice and is active in raising funds for the children of first responders who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
